My Journey & Essence
My career in Life Coaching began in 2001, following several life-changing personal growth courses I participated in, and later began staffing. Then graduates started calling me for additional support, and my coaching practice was born and has progressively expanded ever since. I am professionally trained and certified, have completed over 250 hours of advanced training beyond my certification requirements, and since 1978, I have participated in and facilitated many life expanding workshops and seminars. After 9 years of professional coaching, I have current and former clients in Australia, Europe, Canada, South America, and all across the U.S.

Before Life Coaching I had a Spiritual Healing practice for six years, working with people who had just about every kind of physical, emotional, career, relationship, and financial need. Other careers have included architecture and construction management, stock market trading, real estate management and investment, manufacturing, and ten lively years working and living with teens as a Football, Basketball, and Baseball Coach, and Resident Counselor. Those were very dynamic and rewarding years. Every time I thought I had “seen it all” with those kids and their parents, they continued to surprise me! Along with professional coach training and experience, my entire career path has helped to develop my love for and skill set in coaching clients, especially ones who want to improve the quality of their life, and are willing to do what it takes.

As a Life Coach I come from the place of compassion and understanding, because I have been through periods of inner struggle and deep waters myself—which have included the emotional heartache of a divorce after 14 years of marriage, being tested on every level during times of intense physical pain, and having to find inner courage and an unshakeable sense of soulful self in order to successfully rebuild my finances more than once after huge and unexpected setbacks. Though these and other experiences I have found divine guidance, inner strength, and compassion for others.

During client sessions, I use intuitive listening and appreciative inquiry to create a safe, non-judgmental, truth-telling environment, so you can freely explore possibilities and take powerful action toward realizing your goals and dreams. I have coached clients on relationships, personal change, finance, time management, careers, and many other areas, yet I believe soul development underlies all of these. So, I stand for clients living according to their heart and calling, and am always inspired to see how they are supported with abundant resources when they do.

Together with my wife Charlene McLachlan, I have co-authored Being Love, a book on what it takes to feel and express love, and what it costs you not to, which is copyrighted and will be published in early 2010. It is a book which gives practical steps to unblocking and deepening the experience of love with oneself, others, and one’s God. A workshop series based on the book is in development. I host a weekly meditation group at my home with close friends, play guitar, sing, surf, race motocross, and am a nature photographer as well as an oil painter.
